About TIBH - CRP
TIBH (Texas Industries for the Blind and Handicapped) provides a market for products produced by blind and handicapped Texans. We also offer the products and Services without competitive bidding to state agencies.
Texans with disabilities employed through TIBH are able to work within their communities. Many of the nearly 120 centers are in the metropolitan areas of Texas, but centers are also located in smaller cities.
In 2009, there were approximately 7,000 people with various disabilities employed all over Texas, and TIBH contracts paid over $28 million in wages to these exceptional Texans.
With their wages, these workers purchase food, clothing, and other items from the community and some become self-sufficient enough to live alone. Consequently tax money is freed for use elsewhere.
